GAHHHH!!!

I don't think this is right. I'm going to frog these and start over. The heel flap doesn't seem right.

Yes, that's my hair coming down from the top of the frame, I was a contortionist photographer.

It looks wrong, doesn't it? The sock, not me.

I don't know that it is necessarily wrong...What stitch did you use for the heel? Mine called for one row of k1, slip 1 all across and then the second row purl....

Looking at my one done sock...I think yours looks okay - you just need to pick up the side stitches for the gussett...I wouldn't start ripping yet...wait for a couple more opinions...

Well, Cass it looks like you knitted inside out. You will need to rip it and make sure you have the right side rows (in Stocking stitch) facing out. That is how it looks to me. If you look on the inside of the heel does it match the cuff and leg portion. If it does then you did reverse the heel.

a-HA! Donna's right! Re-reading my pattern, I did knit the heel flap inside out. (DUH) And i'm knitting way too tight, AND I didn't knit enough rib at the top...

so it's frogged and I'm starting over. But I'm okay with that- it's a learning process right? I want to learn to do it right! :)

Smooch and thank you Alaina and Donna! :)

Aww, poor Cass and her inside out heel. I bet it was just perfect on the knitted side!

Aside from that, everything looks good, and I *love* your lotus tattoo!!!

I chuckled so uproariously when I saw your pics that my hubby came to see what was so funny! For some reason, modeling that half-a-sock just struck my funny bone. (I guess it's been a long day!) But hang on, cause my modeling day's a comin'!!

Right now all I have to model is about one inch of cuff!

I'm glad to know that I could see that it looked inside out. I must be developing a better eye for the stitches. Sorry you had to frog it Cass, it was looking great except for being inside out. I'm about as far along as Alana, guess I need a kick somewhere...spending too much time fretting about Dish Rag Tag, I guess. That is beautiful yarn though.
